The strawberry song

The strawberry song:

For her birthday Molly wished

Some pineaples and strawberries
Mixed with chocolate and blueberries

to eat all she could in a single day

when everyone should be merry and gay.

Her aunt gave her some talking doll,

but Molly dind't like dolls at all!

Her mother bought some silver chain

(to attacher it to her dairy),

yet Molly only wished something plain.

At last her boyfriend came along

singing the strawberry song:

Once upon a time a silly girl

wished fruit more than the world

No grown up could grant her wish

Of presenting such a dish!
